I was trained to observe nature and “make pictures” based on what I see, and that is what I try to do. I hope that viewers of the work will recognize something in the representation and be moved by it. There is a material transcendence in nature which is a foreshadow of supernatural transcendence. “For the invisible things of Him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; His eternal power also, and divinity, so that they are inexcusable.” [Romans, 1:20]
