Needle Felted Animals

I began needle felting after I first saw items that others had produced and thought it looked like fun. It is.

This medium is a natural way for me to meld two worlds – my past on the farm and my ability to create.

So far most of my animals are based in scale on the first lamb I created from the mangled wool left by our cat after he got a hold of a Christmas ornament given to me by my deceased sister, Janis. I thought it a good place to start. I like the scale and have made numerous leaping lambs over the years based on that scale.
